The company's greenhouse gas accounting was conducted in compliance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard, taking into account the operational system boundaries. All Scope 1 and Scope 2 categories, as well as the relevant Scope 3 categories, were included. A materiality screening was conducted to select the relevant Scope 3 categories.

We are aware that greenhouse gas emissions should be avoided and reduced as much as possible. Offsetting alone will not be enough to create a future worth living. We emphasize that offsetting with carbon credits should only be understood as an additional, yet very important, measure to achieve the 1.5°C target of the Paris Climate Agreement. The fundamental principle is to avoid – reduce – offset greenhouse gas emissions. Offsetting must be viewed as a complementary measure, the proportion of which must be gradually reduced.
